The Marykirk Raft Race Committee cannot thank Burlesque enough for providing an exceptional evening of music that had everyone's feet tapping and dancing the night away.

The Committee would also like to say a big thank's everyone who came to the night and to all the people who helped set the Hall up and clean the Hall afterwards.

A big thanks to the people who helped on the Night to ensure a fun enjoyable evening was had by all.

Lastly a big thanks to Chris and the Bar staff for keeping everyone's glass topped up, a fantastic job done.

We also thank Charles Gordon who ran our PR for the last two years, but has decided to retire from this committee to focus on other activities.

We have planned:

 

  • Two pub quiz nights - the 22nd of October, and the 10th of December, both at the Marykirk Hotel.
  • We have booked Burlesque - a six part band - to play in the Marykirk Hall on November 18th. 
  • And we are in the middle of planning a Ceilidh night in the hall in December. More news on this later.

Prof Harry McArdle did most of the presentation, and announced that we had raised £6,170 this year. The slides with all the details, photos, etc are on the 'Last Result' page.

I think we can officially say it was a FANTASTIC day yesterday. Thank you to everyone who helped out and thank you to everyone who came along.
